Andrew Lewnes continued to dazzle on the mound as he worked a gem against the Twins. He allowed three hits while striking out eight in a complete game shutout. Joshua Reyes delivered a strong effort but the Reds were backed by Chris Taggart's three run homerun.
Andrew Lewnes turned out his first complete game of the season to lead the Reds. Mike Francis and Tony Perez each drove in a run. Ken Harry delievered his own complete game but the Twins were downed 2-1.
The Twins took a three run lead in the first and never looked back. Scott Johnson went five shutout innings to help the Twins take game 1, 6-3. Andrew Lewnes and Randy Shain provided the offense for the Reds who commited three costly errors.
