Newark Bears Announce Partnership with New Jersey Amateur Baseball League
The Newark Bears and New Jersey Amateur Baseball League (NJABL) have announced a partnership for the 2013 season.
As part of the agreement, Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium will become the official home of the NJABL, with the league scheduled to start play in April. Additionally, the Bears and the NJABL will host Amateur/Pro doubleheaders at the stadium.
The Bears will use the NJABL as a way to scout local talent and will also offer private tryouts to certain NJABL players.
The New Jersey Amateur Baseball League will host its Managers Meeting at the ballpark on January 27. Teams or players interested in participating in the 2013 season should RSVP through the league’s official website.
