Master Batters Run Away With Early Lead In Victory

  • Parsippany Pirates watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 4-1 loss to Master Batters on Sunday. TBD scored on a fielder's choice by Mikey in the first inning, a sacrifice fly by Dilo in the first inning, and a single by Mikey in the second inning.
  • Parsippany Pirates lost despite out-hitting TBD six to four.
  • TBD fired up the offense in the first inning, when Patrick Fishion induced Mikey to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
  • Will led things off on the pitcher's mound for Master Batters. They went seven innings, allowing one run on six hits and striking out 13.
  • Fishion started the game for Parsippany Pirates. He went two innings, allowing four runs on three hits and striking out two. Joe Cohen threw four innings out of the bullpen.
  • Chris Janiec led Parsippany Pirates with two hits in three at bats.

Chris Of Parsippany Pirates Shuts Out Master Batters

  • Chris Janiec threw a shutout to lead Parsippany Pirates past Master Batters 1-0 on Sunday.
  • The pitching was strong on both sides. Janiec struck out 16, while Steve sat down 12.
  • A single by Meech in the fifth inning was a positive for Master Batters.
  • Janiec was on the mound for Parsippany Pirates. He allowed one hit and zero runs over seven innings, striking out 16.
  • Steve led things off on the hill for TBD. They allowed three hits and one run over six innings, striking out 12.
  • Brian Corea went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Parsippany Pirates in hits.
  • Meech led Master Batters with one hit in three at bats.

  • Parsippany Pirates out-hit Wizards of the North eight to six, but it wasn't enough in a 9-1 loss on Sunday
  • The Parsippany Pirates struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Wizards of the North, giving up nine runs.
  • Wizards of the North scored six runs in the fifth inning. Wizards of the North's big inning was driven by a walk by Rowland Goodman, a single by Josh Nuss, and an error on a ball put in play by Ryan Rowland.
  • Jeremy Jemas was on the pitcher's mound for Wizards of the North. He allowed eight hits and one run over seven innings, striking out nine.
  • John Giacchi was on the mound for Parsippany Pirates. He lasted four and a third innings, allowing four hits and seven runs while striking out four. Chris Janiec and Patrick Fishion entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and two-thirds of an inning respectively.
  • Parsippany Pirates tallied eight hits. Tom Sykes and Brian Corea each racked up multiple hits for Parsippany PiratesCorea and Sykes each managed two hits to lead Parsippany Pirates.
