Tough day for the Cubs as they could not take care of business versus the Mariners at Rudyk park. The Cubs would lose 2-3 as they left many runners on base and came out completely flat after a week off. It did not help that they were missing 3 key players both offensively and defensively but no excuses. Some one has to step up and produce when guys are not present. Nonetheless the Cubs will be off again over 4th of July weekend. They will come back on July 9th to face the Warriors.
