Carrasco Delivers when most needed.

It was a double header that lots of Cubs had circled on their schedule. The same could probably be said about the Ducks after an ugly split between the team. But at the end of the day once you step on the field it becomes a game and nothing more. The Cubs would deliver 6 runs in the 2nd inning and 3 more in the 3rd inning to make the score 9-1. They would go on to win 9-2 behind a quality start from starting pitcher Edgar Campusano. Campusano would go on to earn his 3rd win of the season. Andrew Villacis would go on to have a big day going 2/3 with 4 RBIs and scoring a run. New addition Stephon Moore would go 2/3 scoring 2 runs and Raymond Diaz would walk 2 times and score 2 times. "It is nice when the bottom half of the offense produces run. Puts less pressure on the top of the lineup and it shows how deep this team is with hitting". It is pretty hard to get everyone at bats when trying to qualify guys and try to win games at the same time. You just hope for the best and hope you have the right lineup. That was the action for game 1 as the Cubs would go and take game 1 9-2.

Game 2

Game 2 went down to extra innings. Ken Harry debuted with an impressive start. He would go on to get a no decision. He would pitch 5.1 innings allowing only a run but the Cubs could not hold the lead. It was the bottom of the 7th Cubs leading 4-1, relief pitcher Raymond Diaz could not find the strike zone and would allow the Ducks to comeback after walking the bases loaded. The defense did not help as 2 errors would bring in the 3 runs the Ducks needed to tie the game. Forcing the coach to bring in Rob Carrasco to stop the bleeding. Rob did just that. Rob Carrasco would come in to get the final out of the 7th inning. Would retire the side in the 8th inning. Top of the 9th The Cubs would strike with runners on 1st and 2nd, Moises Diaz would triple to right center bringing in Albert Diaz to make it 5-4. Next up would be Ken Harry who would pinch hit for Tyrone Jackson. Ken would single to make it 6-4. Rob Carrasco only needed 3 outs to get the win. The Ducks would get 2 men on base with one out. A fielder's choice and lineout to left field would end the game for the Cubs who take the series and improve to 5-3. Carrasco would deliver a strong performance for those 2 innings of work and earn the W.
