The Cubs got a much needed win this past Sunday as they would go on to beat the Bulldogs 12-3. The Cubs defense bounced back this week with no errors in the field; after an atrocious performance the week before. Ryan Carmon held the Bulldogs to a run, while he fanned 10k on his way to his 3rd win of the season. On the offensive side, Matt "EL JAMON!" Jamandron would hit a 3 run blast over the left field fence to make the score 3-1. The Cubs would go on to score 7 more runs to make it 10-1 by the 6th inning. In the 7th the Bulldogs would score 2 off of reliever Benito "BENDITO" Gonzalez but he would close the door to finish off the game for a Cubs victory. A note from Mr.Coach: "Way to bounce back boys, defense was excellent. In this league you play defense and you win games. It was a team win and we all played our part. I am still not satisfied however. I think we can be even better, I think we can get better, lets be hungry and lets battle in every game no matter the consequences during a game. Guys in the bench, you guys need to be ready at all times, whether or not you are playing you should always be ready. See you all this coming Sunday for a double header vs the Vipers.
