The Cubs played a very long day of baseball this past Sunday. They battled against last year's champions the Dunellen Pirates. Both teams were short handed but both teams battled in both games. In the 1st game the Pirates over came a 10-2 deficit and came all the way back to tie it 10-10 and shock the Cubs who just could not make a play on Defense. In the second game it was the Cubs who came back from a 5-2 deficit to score 7 in the 6th inning and eventually go on to win. The Cubs have off next weekend but with lots of improvements to make if they want to make a push at the playoffs. Till Next time!
