WWAST Headed to NJ for 2 Charity Games

Mark those calendars for May 30th New Jersey!

The New Jersey Amateur Baseball League is proud to welcome the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball Team for a day you will not forget. 12 members of the WWAST are scheduled to attend, in a showcase unlike any you have seen before. This is an event of celebration, determination and inspiration for all in attendance.

Team New Jersey will be represented by active duty baseball players, veteran players, active duty first responders and relatives of veterans who want to be out there honoring their families. Also joining the team is Domingo Ayala, our special guest who is inspired and determined to help make an impact on the fundraising efforts.

We will kick the day off with a packing event for Operation Shoebox NJ, where we will create care packages for troops overseas. Expected to make 200+ care packages, and volunteers are being sought for assistance. Expected to start around 10am.

At Noon, we will host a Charity Home Run Derby, with 3 members of the WWAST battling 3 members of New Jersey (including Batting Practice Home Run Champion Domingo Ayala). This will be a show you will not want to miss, so arrive early.

At 1pm, we will have our opening ceremonies and first pitch to Game 1.

At the conclusion of the first game, we will immediately conclude our Home Run Derby with the Finals.

Game 2 is expected to start around 3:15pm

We will welcome JNJ Entertainment, Author Steve Clarfield, Sisters Soups, Salads & Sandwiches Food Truck and many other guests to help make the event a success.
