Nothing better than getting that 1st win. The Edison Cubs only needed 7 innings to finish the game and go on to win 11-1 with home town hitter Carlos Napoles bringing in the 11th run with a bomb to deep left field. Ryan Klouser did not earn a run, only allowing 3 hits, with 10 Ks and no walks.  The Angels were short handed. Their starting pitcher was taken out after shoulder pain and would not continue. Their reliever did his best to keep the dormant Cubs in line but walks and HBPs, led to lots of runs for the Cubs. The next 3 weeks the Cubs will be going on Double Headers as a large portion of the season is at hand. Next week the Cubs go to Trenton to face the (1-2) Princeton Thunder with out their ace Ryan Klouser. Who will pick up the slack ? We shall see as it should be a very interesting weekend.
