One of the most unique All-Star Games you will find in NJ, with players from all levels of play participating together in a friendly game of baseball in a professional stadium. This Saturday will mark the 2nd year of our Stars v Stripes game, and it already looks to be a good one.
Coming off a disappointing loss (embarrassing is the more accurate word), Mike Mazzolla has drafted what he believes to be a winner in 2014. The team in 2013 was good, it just lacked pitching depth because the game was postponed a week and after the 5th the arms were not there and the floodgates opened. For 2014, he has plenty of ammo for the game and is looking to put a win on the board for the Stripes. Meanwhile, Tim Ritchie built a Stars team that he thinks will put him up 2-0 in the annual Fall ASG. Drafting Premiere heavy early, he missed out on a few guys he envisioned on his roster (like current Middlesex Twins teammate Cody Silverman).
Should be a fun showdown between the two sides on Saturday. Rosters are posted on the team pages in the All Star section of the website under Leagues/NJABL/All Star Game
