We are proud to announce the league has locked in at 74 teams for 2014. With a few announcements remaining, all levels are now locked for the Spring season. Premiere Wood has 20 teams, North Intermediate Wood has 14 teams, South Intermediate Wood 16 teams, Amateur Wood 16 teams and Metal 8 teams. 

Premiere sees a jump of 4 teams this season. The Marlins merged with the Tigers, the Knights merged with the Reds, and we welcomed the arrival of the NJ Blue Jays, Char Heat, NY Warriors, Branchburg Bullets, Los Amboy Dodgers & Garden State Senators to our league for 2014. Returning are our Premiere Champs, Somerville Giants, North Champion Pompton Chicos, North Int Champion NJ Shockers, Caribbean Reds, Clifton Slates, Clifton Pipeliners, Montclair Bulldogs, Bergen Minutemen, Carteret Thunder, NJ Indians, NJ Bulldogs, Perth Amboy Braves, NJ Rays and Boro Brewers to round out the 20. A very impressive group of teams in place, which should make for an even more memorable year in Premiere. The Commissioners Cup will be an even tougher road to travel in 2014. 

In Intermediate North, the Colt .45s return to action along with the Morristown Patriots, Morristown Bulls, Parsippany Pirates, North Jersey Yellow Jackets & Jersey City Vipers. Joining to the mix are the NJ Cardinals, Montclair Mets, Jersey City Scrappers, Jersey Athletics, Livingston Athletics, Bergen Blue Jays, Ironbound Rays & Lodi Royals. We have raised the bar tremendously, and should be fun watching how this level pans out. 

South Intermediate also grows in 2014. With the NJ Shockers moving to Premiere, returning in 2014 are the Manalapan Cardinals, Somerset Clippers, Dunellen Pirates, South River Sharks, NJ Reds & Union County Beavers. The Jersey Bombers & Las Aguilas will move from the North Intermediate in 2013 to South Intermediate in 2014. We will welcome 8 new teams to the South, which include the NJ Vipers, Edison Atlhetics, Mercer Angels, NJ Panthers, Middlesex Twins, Union StellarCats, Amboy Spartans, & Raritan Raptors. 

Amateur Wood is going to be a 16 team league in it's first season, a max out which we find incredible. We are mixing some metal teams from 2013 with some North/South Intermediate teams there. Returning are the Paterson Black Sox, Riverside Vets, NJ Dodgers, RV Indians, NJ Outlaws, Ringwood Ducks, NJ Red Wings, Bergen Braves & Pequannock Scallywags. New for Spring are the Brick City Brawlers, NJ Threshers, Bergen County Buzz, Rugers 09'ers, Vernon Wolfpack, East Coast Blaze & one other team to be named shortly. 

Metal is the only level of play that did not grow in # of teams, but grew in talent pool. With the top teams returning in the New Providence Reds, Somerset Stealth, West Milford Indians, Hudson County Hurricanes, Bergen Jackals... we have added 3 excellent teams for them to compete with weekly in the Garfield Rockies, Teaneck Yankees, & Saddle Brook Pirates. This will be an excellent competitive metal this season. Quality over quantity, and they all will experience the best season their teams have been part of in 2014. 

74 total teams join us in 2014, a 42% increase over 2013 and something we are very proud. As we begin our partnership with the Somerset Patriots we look forward to what the season holds for the league.
