We operate our league as an 18 game season, then double elimination playoffs. Other leagues follow a 20 or 22 game regular season, which means an additional 2-4 games of regular season umpire fees ($150-300 extra). Our league is priced roughly $300 cheaper than our competitors on average. In playoffs, we are double elimination and pay for ALL playoff umpires. Our competitors, they force you to pay until the finals (additional $150-225 extra). When you add up the additional regular season umpires, higher league fee and playoff umpire fees... the difference between us and them is $600-$825. That offsets most credits anybody would receive for winning a championship. The best part , you dont have to win anything to be given that savings. We supply that level of cost to everybody in our league.

Now consider the following:

Does your league offer its championship teams the opportunity for Opening Day in a Minor League Stadium, as reward for winning prior year? Do they offer double elim playoffs? Enhanced trophies? All Star Games in Minor League Stadiums?  Carded Umpires for every game? Do they give you equipment to start the season? Do they schedule your entire season before Opening Day? Do the people running the league, come to your games and offer free photography or hand you your championship trophy on the field when you won it?
