"The only league that treats Amateurs like Pros"

Somerville Giants v Perth Amboy Braves

The New Jersey Amateur Baseball League is happy to announce our Spring 2014 League offerings, Pricing & Team Packages.

After a strong inaugural year, we are working to ensure 2014 is a banner year for the league and its teams competing. We strive to increase the overall experience for our players, and believe that you will immediately realize the difference we make for your season. For FY14, Spring standard pricing remains the same as 2013:
• $1,600 for teams with a home field and
• $1,900 for teams without home fields

In addition, we are offering pricing packages in FY14 to help teams upgrade to stadium games or even just fundraise for team needs such as umpire fees, league fees or team equipment.

If your team would like to play in a professional stadium this Spring, see your name and photo on the big screen, hear player announcements and get the feel for playing in that atmosphere, we can deliver the experience to you. Please inquire for pricing.

Some Highlights from 2013:
• 52 teams in Spring, 28 teams in the Fall for 1st season. Overall, 66 unique teams competing
• 96% of Spring teams completed their 18 game schedule (50/52), with 2 teams finishing with 17 games
• Double Elimination playoffs guarantee playoff teams 2 games minimum. Championship teams played roughly 6-8 playoff games in the Spring (total of 24-26 games), Fall Champions played 5-6 (total of 15-16 games).

• 2014 Season Launch Event, location/time TBA
• More to be announced at a later time…

The primary reason we are communicating all this to you now, is to let you know we will be running an EARLY promotion for teams who want to commit soon for 2014. Early commitments allow us to start building our leagues, which in turn, allows us to better plan for the upcoming season with divisions of play and scheduling. For any team that provides a $300 deposit by December 31st, and pays their league fee in full by February 20th, we will enter you into a drawing for a FREE regular season STADIUM UPGRADE during the Spring season (Est. Value $800). We will be selecting the lucky team(s) at our Spring Launch Party in March (location TBD). In addition, we will also give away equipment and prize packages to a few other runner ups (est value $150-300). The prize packages will be as follows:

  1. TD Bank Ballpark Regular Season Upgrade (Est value $800)
  2. Bat Package: 1 32', 33', 34' Ash + 1 33' Composite (Est Value $400)
  3. Metal Package: 3  33'/34' Metal Bats (Est value $400)
  4. Pre-Game Package: 2 Dozen Baseballs, Ball Bucket, Fungo & 2 Helmets (Est value $200)
  5. Catchers Gear: Full set (Mask, Chest protector, shinguards, glove) (Est value $250)

In order to be eligible though, deposits must be in by year end. In addition to being eligible for the stadium upgrade, you will also have choice of an upgraded team equipment selection (selection to include composite bats). [In 2013, those selections included team shirts, a BP package, 4 custom wood bats, team helmets, catchers gear or team equipment bags]

For all others not taking advantage of that promotion, our Spring Manager Meeting will likely be Jan 25-26th and we will ask for team deposits at that time, with full payment due by March 16th to qualify for free team equipment packages.
