Tigers bounce back from Game 2 loss with 7 run 6th, rolling to title

West Side Park, Newark - The Middlesex Tigers are the 2013 Premiere Wood Fall Champions.

This was a hard fought Finals battle between two closely matched opponents. The Tigers (9-1 Reg Season, 4-1 Playoffs) won game one by a score of 3-2 over the NJ Indians (6-4 Reg Season, 3-3 Playoffs), which set up a pitching battle on Game 2.

Tigers ace Sean Kuberiet threw a gem for the Tigers in Game 2, and also  contributed a solo blast to put the Tigers up 1-0 heading into the 9th inning. Two consecutive throwing errors allowed the Indians to plate 2 runs, and walk off with the Game 2 victory.

Momentum had shifted quickly in this series, and in the 2nd inning a solo blast by Ralphy Soto had the Indians fired up. The Tigers would wait until the 6th to make their run, capitalizing on a few Indians errors and timely hits to plate 7 runs en route to a 8-2 final, and their first NJABL Championship.
