NJIBL v NJABL Challenge Game at TD Bank Ballpark

Leagues set to Collide in Sept 7th Showdown

The New Jersey Amateur Baseball League continues its inaugural year with another exciting exhibition game, taking on the New Jersey Independent Baseball League of South Jersey. The game will feature the 25+ NJIBL Champion SJ Mashers (7-Time Champions) and the NJABL Premiere Champion Somerville Giants (8-Time Champions) in a State bragging rights game that should be fun for all playing and in attendence.

September 7th at Noon, the game will be played at TD Bank Ballpark in Bridgewater, Home of the Somerset Patriots. In addition to the NJABL v NJIBL Champions Game, Spring Player Awards will be available, the NJIBR Radio Show will broadcast live from the Press Box, T-Shirts will be given out, Equipment provider Akadema will be showcasing their product line and proceeds raised will support Pitch in for Baseball (www.pitchinforbaseball.org). Admission is Free, and a great opportunity to come out and support the league.

"This has been a game we were planning before the NJABL even got off the ground this Spring. I had a conversation with Gary back in November, and asked if they would consider a challenge game like this between the two leagues once we got established. Tim and I just never thought it would happen so fast. We are honored to be in the place we are now, and continue to seek ways to improve our league and offerings so that our customers have the best overall experience in the state," said Michael Mazzolla.

Both leagues cover the entire landscape of New Jersey, making this a true State Championship. As we move forward, we hope to have a number of games between the two leagues at all different levels.

The NJIBL is the largest wood amateur league in the state, and we are honored to be affiliated with them. For more information on the game, please reach out to us at mike@newjerseyabl.com or tim@newjerseyabl.com
