As the New Jersey Amateur Baseball League prepares for it's inaugural campaign, there is a common theme in every league of play... champions are here and ready to compete.

When you look through the league set-ups, or if you have been following facebook announcements, you will notice there are more than 9 champions already signed up, with more to come soon.

The High Wood Division is turning into a who's who of the best amateur wood teams in northern NJ. The Caribbean Reds (3-time champs) enter the season fresh off a 2012 title and 16-4 regular season record. The Linde-Griffith Piledrivers (2-time), also come on board after a 2012 title and 14-4 record, Six time champion NJ Bulldogs, who were 21-9 in Metal last year, enter the season looking to test their team in the super competitive league. The Montclair Bulldogs (2010 Champs), are ready to mash after an impressive 15-3 clip last season. The Clifton Slates, Carteret Thunder, Bergen Minutemen and Pompton Chicos are all on board for the upcoming season.

In Wood, we are building a pretty insane division of play. The Somerset Clippers re-allign for the season, managed by skipper George Tomasello, who just keeps putting off retirement. The Bergen County Dodgers, fresh off a 2012 title, also are among the early commitments. The 2008 Champion North Jersey Yellow Jackets join the field, that also includes the NJ Outlaws, Dunellen Pirates, NJ Shockers, Raritan Valley Indians, Hackensack Hurricanes and 5 others soon to be announced.

Our Metal league is shaping out nicely as well. 2012 Champion NJ Swingmen, 2 time champion Tri County Twins, Ringwood Ducks, Pequannock Scallywags, Keansburg Titans, Jersey City Jags and a few new teams to be announced shortly.

Right now, the league has over 30 team commitments for the upcoming season. We are still accepting teams for the season, as well as free agents. If you are a team considering, please reach out and talk to us about our league and the upcoming season.
