Understanding how we stack up

The Fees Breakdown

We offer a Spring league, 18 game season, for $1,600 per team with home field ($1,900 without field). The fee includes 18 game schedule, expanded playoffs with double elimination format, free team equipment (if paid on time), mobile technology, enhanced team pages and league website, carded umpires, All Star Game in local professional stadium and upgraded trophies/awards.

While we may apprear to be a bargain league, we should note that we operate our league like a non-profit, reinvesting our profits into the league which is why you have the stadium all star game, the equipment givebacks, expanded playoffs, enhanced premium website, mobile app, upgraded baseballs and superior trophies.

In addition to the league fee, we ask that all teams pay a $250 forfeit bond, refundable at year end. This bond is our way to protect from forfeits during the season. In the event a team forfeits a game, they are still responsible for the umpire fees (if applicable). The team receiving the forfeit would be entitled to $80 from the bond for each game forfeited. We have a strict policy on forfeits, so 2 forfeits from any team will result in suspension from the NJABL.

Some teams may also consider length of the schedule as a factor. When you look at 20 game schedules vs our 18 game schedule, you may think we are offering less. The truth, they are not delivering on their promise. By all means, do your own research on this... but we have found that nearly 60% of teams playing in a 20 game format do NOT play 20 games. The standings may show it for some, however how many of those "completed" seasons are done so with forfeits? We are attempting to minimize forfeits, give you the 18 game season we promise and deliver an exceptional experience all around.

In fact, if you want to see a breakdown of where your fees go... we would be happy to oblige. Complete fee breakdown will be available to all teams participating in the league.
