Despite Fewer Hits, Wizards Of The North Beats Parsippany Pirates

  • The Parsippany Pirates struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Wizards of the North, giving up nine runs.
  • Wizards of the North scored six runs in the fifth inning. Wizards of the North's big inning was driven by a walk by Rowland Goodman, a single by Josh Nuss, and an error on a ball put in play by Ryan Rowland.
  • Jeremy Jemas was on the pitcher's mound for Wizards of the North. He allowed eight hits and one run over seven innings, striking out nine.
  • John Giacchi was on the mound for Parsippany Pirates. He lasted four and a third innings, allowing four hits and seven runs while striking out four. Chris Janiec and Patrick Fishion entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one inning and two-thirds of an inning respectively.
  • Parsippany Pirates tallied eight hits. Tom Sykes and Brian Corea each racked up multiple hits for Parsippany PiratesCorea and Sykes each managed two hits to lead Parsippany Pirates.
  • Nuss led Wizards of the North with two hits in three at bats. Wizards of the North was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Micahel Taussi made the most plays with five.
