Excitement Begins...

I could sense it at every scrimmage we attended this Spring, guys genuinely getting excited for the season and the league launch. Talking with so many players and managers over the past 6 months, I truly want to thank you for having faith in us as a new league, and for becoming part of our baseball family.

We appreciate all of the support we have received, and are really proud of the overwhelming number of teams that chose to come on board for our first year. 52 teams is no number fo laugh at, and where you all are coming from paints an even greater image of how fast we have found our market.

I'm excited to get things started, and could think of no better way than to kick it off than with a Double Header for Charity. Hometown Heroes, for those who are not aware, is a NJ based charity focused on delivering aid to local communities in times of crisis. With a tremendous focus on our Jersey Shore restoration project, HH has been essential in ensuring all local funds donated are being used in NJ. They are also the lead charity in the Restore the Shore campaign for NJ.

It's been a pleasure building a relationship with them, and we look forward to welcoming them to the ballpark.

The weather forecast is already looking great for early April, and the teams all appear ready to kick the season off with a bang.

Not to be overshadowed, our league will actually kick off that morning with games in Morristown (Black Sox v Patriots), Elizabeth (Las Aguilas v Bombers), Pequannock (Outlaws vs. Scallywags) and finally Carteret (Tigers v Thunder). Our stadium opener will feature the Linde-Griffith Piledrivers playing host to the Montclair Bulldogs at 4pm, followed by the Caribbean Reds hosting the Union Knights in the nightcap at 7pm. We are looking forward to a good turnout, as ticket sales are picking up and we expect one of the larger crowds for any amateur game in the state.

The countdown is almost complete... let's play ball!
